James J. Little

James J. Little, 83, of Gladstone, passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018 with his loving family at his side.

James was born on July 21, 1934 to the late Joseph and Esther (Hazen) Little in Escanaba, MI. Jim married Eva R. Hewett of Berkely Springs, WV in 1989, and he enjoyed life immensely with her. He also enjoyed working in his garden with his flowers. He treasured time spent with his family and he will be greatly missed.

Jim was a boilermaker with Union 169. He was a proud U.S. Marine with the 3rd Marine Division, receiving the Marine Corp Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Medal, UN National Service Medal, and the UN National Service Medal.

James is survived by his wife Eva, his daughter, Melissa Hunt, son, Scott J. Little, stepchildren, Mike (Shannon) Johnson, Jeff (Debbie) Johnson and Susan (John) Hill, sister, Mary (Tom) Knault, brothers, Harold “Skip” Little, Scott (Mary Lee) Little, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his dog “Tippy” also survive.

According to Jim’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the family.
