Jacqueline “Jackie” Joan Masters, 81, of 5021 Highland 17.6 Drive, Escanaba, passed away Thursday November 9, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Jackie was born August 3, 1936 in Jackson, MI the daughter of Herman and Winifred (Wellman) Krutsch. She was raised in Jackson and she was united in marriage to George W. Masters on October 10, 1953. They resided in Jackson where they raised their four children. In 1971 they moved to Escanaba from Jackson.

Jackie was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wells. Spending time with her children and grandchildren were most important to her. She loved working in her flower garden, knitting and taking the annual family vacation to St. Joseph Island, Canada as she had for over 60 years. Jackie was a loving wife, mother and an excellent homemaker and interior designer, she enjoyed helping family and friends decorate their homes.

Sister: Elizabeth Reeve of Horton, MI

Sisters-in-law: Grace Miller of Michigan Center, Gloria (Don) Patterson of Jackson, Diana Kent of St. Joseph Island, Ontario, Nanette Masters of Michigan Center and Betsy Krutsch of Horton.

Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In addition to her parents, mother and father-in-law, Jackie was preceded in death by her loving husband George “Bubby” on February 23, 1990, sister, Bessie Hunter, brothers, Herman Richard “Dick” and Emanuel Krutsch, sisters-in-law Ruby “Nikki” Masters, Nancy Krutsch, brothers-in-law Robert “Bob” Reeve, Harold Miller, Erwin “Sonny” Masters and William “Bill” Kent.

Jackie’s family will receive friends on Tuesday November 14, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services celebrating the life of Jacqueline J. Masters will follow at 6:00 pm with Rev. Al Schubert of Our Savior Lutheran Church officiating. Luncheon will follow at the Our Savior Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Wells. Burial will be in the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.
