Irene A. Krouth

Irene A. Krouth, age 84, of Gladstone passed away on Monday, February 19, 2018 at the Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba.

Irene was born August 13, 1933 in Green Bay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Jules and Regina (Liebergen) LaRose. She was united in marriage to Robert Krouth on November 21, 1953 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins. Irene was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s until she moved to Gladstone and was currently a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She loved her grandchildren and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and playing cards at the Senior Center.

Irene is survived by her son Robert (Diane) Krouth of Gladstone;daughters, Laurelyn (Steve) Sutton of Negaunee and Christine (Alan) Bartlett of Theresa, WI; grandchildren, Shawn Huffman, Vincent Sutton, Ashley (Kevin) Harmon, Casey (Courtney) Bartlett, Kari (Joel) Nordin and Craig (Alicia) Krouth; great grandchildren, Vivian and John Krouth and Kevin Paul Harmon; brother, Leonard (Linda) LaRose of Trenary; sisters, Andrea (Quint) Way of Escanaba, Arlene King of Escanaba, Judy Redstrom of Gurnee, IL, Marie LaRose of Gladstone and Vickie (Joe) DeMenter of Gladstone and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, brothers, George, David, Bobby and Joe LaRose and sisters, Marjorie Groleau and Leona Bacon.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23 from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 6:00 PM at All Saints Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Brian Gerber officiating. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall. Irene will be laid to rest in the Perkins Cemetery.
