Ingrid I. Menard, age 97, of Escanaba, formerly of Gladstone, passed away Monday afternoon, November 6, 2017, at Christian Park Healthcare Center in Escanaba.

Ingrid was born October 5, 1920, in Negaunee, the daughter of Antti and Hilma (Hakala) Pasi. She was raised on a farm in Stonington and attended the Stonington School. Throughout her younger years, Ingrid worked on her family farm, then worked at Mead Paper Co., and Marble Arms for 24 years. Ingrid married Donald Menard on October 20, 1945, and they celebrated 57 years in marriage, living on Michigan Avenue in Gladstone. Ingrid and Don were members of the Gladstone Yacht Club and had a Camp on Little Bay deNoc in Stonington for 47 years. Ingrid loved to dance, play cards, bowl, and fish. She had a wonderful sense of humor and a joy of living. And she was full of Sisu!

In addition to her parents, Antti and Hilma, and her husband Don, Ingrid was preceded in death by her sisters, Sigrid Simonsen, Marie Mattson, Sonja DeCramer, Iline Johnson and brother, Veikko Pasi. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews, plus friends Elaine Demeuse, Gerry Tyler, Genevieve Smoot, and many others.

Family will receive friends Thursday, November 9, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Funeral services will follow visiting hours at 12:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone with Pastor Diane Srutowski from
Bethany Lutheran Church, in Perkins, officiating. Ingrid will be laid to rest in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Menard family.
