Gregory Carl Rolstad, 59, passed unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, 21 September, 2017 near Elizabethtown, KY. He was born on 28 January, 1958 in Ricelake, WI to Shirlee and Denis Rolstad. In 1981 he married Deborah Taylor, together they raised their son Travis and daughter Jenilee in Flatrock, Michigan. In 2015, he re-married to KarenSchlabach. Greg is a US Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1974 to 1978. After his military service, he primarily worked as a truck driver and locomotive engineer. Greg enjoyed the U.P.’s great outdoors where he spent much of his time hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son Travis Rolstad (Anne), daughter Jenilee Pellegrini (Nick), grandchildren Jace, Rhett, & Paislee, his wife Karen, step son Jacob Schlabach, step daughter Elizabeth Sumpter,grandchildren Amarha and Trey, sisters Denise Head (Joe) and Debbie Rice (Sheldon), brother Tom Dahlin (April), sisters Amy Rolstad and Tricia (Rolstad) Snow.
He is preceded in death by his mother Shirlee Dahlin, father Denis Rolstad, and grandparents Carl and Polly Gubbin.
Funeral services will be privately held.
