Geraldine “Gerry” Papas, age 97, of Gladstone passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at the Bishop Noa Home in Escanaba.
Gerry was born February 15, 1922, in Detroit, the only child of James and Lilley (Botterill) Sibley. She was united in marriage to Edward Papas on April 11, 1942 in Detroit. Their union lasted for over 60 years. They raised two daughters and Edward worked for the Ford Motor Company until he retired in 1980. Following his retirement they moved to Gladstone. With eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, she continued to teach unconditional love and respect, no matter what. She loved everyone the same and we are all better people for having the honor to have known her.
