Doris J. Beals, age 71, of Escanaba passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.
Doris was born March 18, 1946 in Trenton, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Agnes (McElhinney) Beals. Doris was a longtime resident at the Christian Park Village, where she made several hundred loom knit hats which were all donated to charity.
Doris is survived by her brother, Tom (Patricia) Beals of Allen Park, MI, locally by her cousins, Diane Grimm and Tom Oberstar of Trenary and John Oberstar of Marquette and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, James and another brother, Robert.
Per Doris’ request, no services will be held.
The family would like to thank the special caregivers at the Christian Park Village and Faye Nygard for all the time she spent with Doris.
