Perkins, MIDolores (Dee) M. Neurohr, 86, of Perkins, passed away Wednesday evening December 28, 2016 at the Christian Park Village in Escanaba.

Dolores was born January 16, 1930 in Escanaba the daughter of Gerard and Violet (Kinnunen) Depuydt. She was raised in Perkins where she was a 1947 graduate of Perkins High School. She cooked for many years at her father’s service station/restaurant in Perkins and also as an elevator operator at the Fair Store in Escanaba.

Dolores was united in marriage to George Neurohr on June 30, 1956 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins. They made their home in Perkins where they raised their 5 children. Dee was a member of the St. Joseph Church in Perkins.

Dee enjoyed bowling, playing cards, especially Euchre, Cribbage and Smear. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles, reading, cooking and baking. She loved shopping, especially for clothes. Her greatest joy in life was raising her children and spending time with her grandchildren.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, on December 29, 1996, her grandson, Kyle Jacob Neurohr, on October 16, 2010, brothers, Kenneth (Estelle) Depuydt, Richard Depuydt, Don (Bev) Depuydt, brothers-in-laws, Fred and Fr. Gilbert Neurohr, Alan Moser and Larry Perrine.

The family of Dolores would like to extend a special thank you to Sunny View Adult Foster Care and Christian Park Village for your compassionate and loving care of our mother during her stay.

Dolores’s family will receive friends on Thursday January 5, 2017 from 2:30-5:00 pm at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Mass of Christian Burial services will follow at 6:00 PM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Perkins with Rev. Fr. Joseph Vandannoor and Rev. Fr. Emmett Norden officiating. Luncheon will follow in the St. Joseph Church Parish Hall. She will be laid to rest next to her husband George at the Perkins Cemetery.
