Our sincere condolences to the entire Bowen family.
We are deeply saddened with his passing.
He is in heaven and resting in peace.
Dennis was a very good friend of almost 50 years. Many good times with tons of memories.
God bless the entire Bowen family.

Farewell and Rest In Peace to a good friend. Will remember the many Christmas season PizzaNights at your house with the family. You were a great host!

You started dating my mom when I was in high school and married her my Senior year 1-7-1977. I remember she thought you were crazy wanting to marry someone with 4 kids. But soon we were 5 with the birth of Deni P. I remember leaving for Helen Lake late on a Friday night so we could deliver a route on the way. You and mom driving all over in winter blizzards to take Dave to a hockey game. When she died we wondered how you and Deni would manage. But you did just fine learning to pick out your own clothes and even to cook. For 20 years you managed. I felt guilty taking Deni in November but we all knew it was the right thing to do. I can’t imagine how much you must have missed her but you were also so brave for her when we came to visit. I don’t think I ever thanked you for everything that you did for all of us. I will take good care of Deni for you until we all are together in Heaven.

Dennis was the best non father I ever could have imagined having. He was so good to my mother (Denise), myself, and Tony. He put up a very courageous battle and Anthony and I will miss him dearly.

Dennis I love and miss you. I am so thankful I was able to spend so much time with you the last 3 months. Your sister, Linda

I would like to express my sympathy to the Dennis Bowen family.I am very sorry of his passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.sincerely, pat guertin and Brenda monett

Prayers, peace and sympathy to all of Dennis’s family and friends. I know how much Deni loves all of her family and I know she and her Dad took great care of one another. I know she’ll enjoy her new home with Sissy just as much as she misses her Escanaba home.

To the Bowen family. I worked at the Daily Press for 24 years with your father. I was shocked and saddened when I heard he had passed because I didn’t know he was sick. He was a good man and a wonderful father. He always would share the joy of his children. I knew Deni and they were certainly a great team after your mom passed. Sometimes he’d ask for advice that touched your heart. I am thinking of all of you today and I’m so sorry I couldn’t be there. May our Higher Power give you strength and fabulous memories.

You are in my thoughts and prayers.

We’d like to express our sympathy to the Family. I’ve known Denny since Jr. High. We had some great times together with the
“bunch” we hung with. He and I also went into the Army together. Denny was a great guy and we’ll all miss him. I say this not only
for myself but, also for the Class of ’65. God bless Buddy.

We shared 10 wonderful years and I miss you more than words can say. I find myself alone on this seat with my wonderful memories praying that you have found healing and peace. I will always love you Papa.

At birth, we boarded the train of life and met our parents, and we believed that they would always travel by our side. However, at some station, our parents would step down from the train, leaving us on life’s journey alone.

As time goes by, some significant people will board the train: siblings, other children, friends, and even the love of our life.

Many will step down and leave a permanent vacuum. Others will go so unnoticed that we won’t realize that they vacated their seats! This train ride has been a mixture of joy, sorrow, fantasy, expectations, hellos, goodbyes, and farewells.

A successful journey consists of having a good relationship with all passengers, requiring that we give the best of ourselves. The mystery that prevails is that we do not know at which station we ourselves will step down. Thus, we must try to travel along the track of life in the best possible way — loving, forgiving, giving, and sharing.

When the time comes for us to step down and leave our seat empty — we should leave behind beautiful memories for those who continue to travel on the train of life.

Let’s remember to thank our Creator for giving us life to participate in this journey.

I close by thanking you for being one of the passengers on my train!
