Dean F. Buddle, age 76, of Rapid River, passed away Friday, December 7, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Escanaba.

Dean was born August 3, 1942, the son of John and Mable (Goodwin) Buddle. Dean enlisted in the United States Army in 1959 until he was honorably discharged in 1962. In May of 1964, he was united in marriage to Louis Jean Coppock. She preceded Dean in death on August 11, 2013. Together the couple raised one son, Dean Michael Buddle.

Dean enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, being a member of the Patriot Guards, and eating ice cream. He was also very proud to be apart of the Third Honor Flight that went to Washington D.C.

Dean is survived by one son, Dean Michael Buddle of Kenosha, WI, and a special friend and guardian Karen Kollmann of Rapid River, MI.

Family will receive friends Thursday, December 13, 2018 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military Honors will be presented at 2:45 PM by the Gladstone American Legion Post 71. Memorial Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Dean will be laid to rest in Fernwood Cemetery in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County is assisting the Buddle family.

    Dean my best friend for 15 years, I will always have you in my heart, we had lots of fun times together riding the Harley, doing missions with the Patriot Guards, during 12 years of the Honor flight Flag Lines for all are Beautiful Vets, I am very happy to have been you Guardian for many years, we had lots of wonderful time together, taking rides in the truck, then eating out somewhere, these are all the things I will miss, besides your smiling face, you will be in my heart forever, may you rest in peace my friend, I WILL ALWAY LOVE YOU MY BEST FREIND KAREN

    Dean, to a wonderful man I meet while riding with the Patriot Guard Riders, we spent many hours and many miles riding to pay respect to our fallin heros. May you ride in heaven for ever, RIP my friend
