David A. Frizzell, age 79, of Cornell, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the DJ Jacobetti Home For Veterans.

David was born September 2, 1939, in Escanaba, the son of Alvin and Ida (O’Connor) Frizzell.
Dave, as he liked to be known as, was a loving and devoted husband who was married to his wife Yu Chong for over 40 years. He was a good father who cared for his children. He loved to read, especially books by his favorite author Louis L’Amour, and he passed this love of reading on to his children. Dave was a man of little words yet what he lacked in words, he had in abundance in his love for his family, conscientiousness, work ethic, and quiet grace.

2 Sons: Michael (Samantha) Frizzell of Gladstone, MI

Thomas Frizzell of Escanaba, MI

Daughter: Ann (Sam) Chang of Elk Grove Village, IL

Sister: Lillian Wight of Cornell, MI

7 Grandchildren: Sasha, Rebekka, Jonah, Jude Frizzell, Jude Chouinard, Sadie Chang, and Lucy Frizzell.

And 1 Great Grandchild

In addition to his Parents, David is preceded in death by:

Brothers: Sam and Jake Frizzell

Sisters: Betsy and Janet Deneau

Family will receive friends Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Military Honors will be presented by the Gladstone American Legion Post 71 at 3:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Frizzell family.

    Only knew him for a short period of time but was able to tell he was the kind of man described by his family. Quiet grace especially caught my eye. Praying for peace and comfort for his family.
