Colten J. King, age 24, of Gladstone, passed away Saturday July 14, 2018 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI.

Colten was born in Escanaba, MI on November 23, 1993, the son of Paul King and Brooksie Benson. He attended Gladstone Area Schools. He worked at 4J’s Family Restaurant for a year.

Colten enjoyed playing hockey, playing video games, and cheering on the Green Bay Packers.

2 Sisters: Jordyn King of Rapid RIver, MI
Calley King of Escanaba, MI
Maternal Grandparents: Brenda (Esker Bownes Jr.) Benson of Gladstone, MI
Paternal Grandparents: Cathy (Tom) Anderson of WI
Uncle: Jeff Benson of Gladstone, MI
2 Nieces: Alea Mae, Drea Annette Kay Benson
3 Nephews: Andre Lydell Benson Jr , Karysen Shinaberry, Kale Solis

In addition to his Mother, Brooksie Benson, he is preceded in death by his Brother, Andre Benson.

Family will receive friends Monday, July 23, 2018 from 2:00 until 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. Closing prayers will follow visiting hours at 4:00 PM at the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the King family.

    We are so very sorry to hear about Colten. He was a remarkable young man ..He would come to our house and was always sooo very polite and at the same time soo very quiet. We always enjoyed visits from him. We know how much he will be missed by all. May God Bless all of you and cherish all of your memories..

    I didn’t get the opportunity to meet Colten but my Son Even “Rick” Ross knew him very well. I know y’all are Family. My Thoughts and Prayers are with all of you. Remember all the Good Times. He is forever in Your Hearts. He will be Missed by all that knew and Loved him. Rest In Peace!
