I was a cashier at Super Value when Cheryl was working in the meat room, she was so sweet and was a very hard worker. She loved trains and movies and the Packers, and her family most of all.i can still see her riding her bike to Super Value. My condolences to her family.

My sincerest sympathy to all of Cheryl’s family . I met Cheryl and began coaching her in Special Olympics while I was still in high school in 1978 . I continued coaching until I left for college . Every time I was home and had a chance to stop in at St Pats school I would and I loved seeing Cheryl every time . Cheryl’s zest for life ,contagious smile , and always welcoming hugs made such an impact on my life that I continued my life in the Special Edcuation field to this day. I remember her love of the Packers , but mostly I remember her love of her family as she always spoke so kindly of them. I remember meeting some of you thru the early years but I apologize for not remembering more clearly after all these years. I know I don’t have to tell you what a special soul Cheryl was , but I do want to tell you I feel extremely blessed that our paths crossed on earth and I feel blessed to have known Cheryl.
Heaven is a little brighter now that one of Gods angels has returned home. May God blanket you all in his Peace

Cheryl was a student of mine, at the Learning Center, in Physical Education. She was one of my most active pupils and also a Special Olympics athlete when I was in charge. Cheryl melted my heart right from the start. She was at times, stubborn and emotional, but her effort and her heart made up for that. She was probably one of our best athletes, participating in Gymnastics and Basketball. She always outdid herself, pushing herself to be better, to accomplish a new gymnastic move, or be a great defensive player in basketball. I remember that when she finished a competitive routine with great effort, she would rush over and nearly tackle me to the ground with excitement. She was, and is, a good person, and she made you feel happy with her accomplishments on and off the court or gymnastic mat. Cheryl was a pride and joy of many of her coaches in Special Olympics. Theresa, Tracy, Tammy, all were very fond of her and enjoyed seeing her improvement in sports and in personal growth. I will miss her terribly, but I know she is safe in God’s hands now. Accept her into your kingdom, oh God.

I met Cheryl when I was in high school through Special Olympics. I was one of her coaches, although we were almost the same age. A year apart. Cheryl loved basketball and was very competitive and good at it. She always seemed to have a smile on her face and loved being happy.
I learned a lot in those 4 years of volunteer work that I took with me into adulthood. Thanks to Cheryl and many others.
    Rest in peace friend.
