Cheryl Lynn (Ray) DeLoughary, 69, of Owasso, OK died Wednesday March 29, 2017 at her residence following a lengthy heart illness.

Cheryl was born November 6, 1947 in Enid, OK the daughter of Harry and Sylvia (Johnson) Ray.  She was raised in Escanaba where she was a 1965 graduate of Escanaba High School.  Cheryl was united in marriage to James Michael “Mike” DeLoughary on June 12, 1967.  They had resided in Kenosha, WI for 30 years, 10 years in Bryan, OH and for the past 9 years in Owasso, OK.

In her younger years, Cheryl and Mike enjoyed Swing dancing. She was active in all 3 communities where she resided with the Senior Citizens Centers where she also enjoyed attending exercise classes.  She was an active member of the St. Therese Catholic Church in Collinsville, OK.  Her hobbies also included playing cards. Cheryl and Mike would have celebrated 50 years on June 12, 2017

Cheryl’s family will receive friends on Monday April 3, 2017 from 3:00 to 6:00 PM at the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday April 4, at 11:00 AM at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Escanaba with Rev. Fr. Rick Courier officiating.  Luncheon will follow in Fr. Parrotta Hall.  Burial will follow luncheon at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery in Wells.

    So very sorry to hear of the passing of Cheryl. We grew up neighbors in our grade school years. I remember her and Kelly and the family living on 2nd Avenue North between 11th and 12th st. We had quite a neighborhood. R.I.P. Cheryl!
