My deepest sympathy to the family
Betty was as amazing lady and I was proud to be able to be a part of her life for a little bit helping take care of her place

Bill and I were so sorry to hear of the passing of Betty. She was always such a nice, spunky lady. We will all miss her expecally my mom she was so sad she wasn’t home as we were and Deb and Bill that we couldn’t make the funeral. We’re all in Florida. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Take care. Kathy and Bill Elliott

    Cherie and family,

Jim, Cherie, Kathy, LuAnn and Bobbie~ It’s easy for us to remember how much your mom and dad meant to ours. We were in Gladstone this past week and went to visit Betty…of course we learned that she had passed. 🙁 It made for a tough day…yet we shared tons of memories filled with stories from camping Across the Bay…from losing Bob Schram’s motor off the back of the boat to hanging onto the sides of the tent flaps when the tornado was coming our way! Our lives were not the same when we moved away from Gladstone that’s for sure! We had the chance to visit with Betty the past 3 years as we made our trip to Escanaba to visit our Mom and Dad’s gravesite. We alway went to Betty’s to catch up on all of you and see how she was doing. We loved her story telling about you guys and all the grandkids…she was super proud…but missed Bob terribly. From there we went to see Dottie Schram and that was always awesome! Love her sarcasm and storytelling as we talked about old times. We’re hoping that your parents are hanging out with ours up there in Campground Heaven…Bob singing “Your Cheatin’ Heart” and your mom making all of us laugh and smile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all! Mike and Bonnie McMartin

I was kind of shocked when I read this Obituary. You see, I did not know Betty, but she had the same name as me. Betty Jean Young. I was married to Steve Young, but sadly, he passed away in 2010. But now I am married to Bob Letsch, and my name is Betty Young Letsch. She sounds like she was a very nice lady. And sadly, I never got to meet her. Me and my husband, Bob
Letsch, Live in Abita Springs, Louisiana. And I just wanted to say, we will pray for the family. I am sure she is in Heaven now.

    Sincerely, Betty Jean Young Letsch.
