Bernice Ann Cook, age 72, of Escanaba passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at the Christian Park Health Care Center in Escanaba.
Bernice was born April 16, 1946 in Escanaba, the daughter of Howard and Clara (LaCombe) Goodnough. She was united in marriage to Ralph Cook on November 26, 1966. Bernice was a member of the Blessed Hope Baptist Church. She had a lot of spunk and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Bernice is survived by her son, Ralph (Angela) Cook of Escanaba; her daughter, Christine Flowers of Ford River; grandchildren, Dustin Cook, Stephanie Smart, Kelsey Stillman, and Scottie and Jamie Flowers; great grandchildren, Andreas and Gabriela Galindo, Austin Herrman and Hazel, Trinity, Lincoln and Xayne Flowers; her sisters, Marie (Jim) Quade of Arizona and Rita (Ken) Seals of Kentucky, step-brother, Robert (Roberta) Anderson and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Cook, parents, sisters, Sandra Diener and Bonnie Casey and two brothers, Donald Campbell and “Chucky” Goodnough.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 1 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Blessed Hope Baptist Church in Escanaba. Memorial services will follow at 5:00 PM with Pastor Lewis Hague officiating. A luncheon will be served in the fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family c/o, Skradski Funeral Home, 118 South 12th Street, Escanaba, MI 49829, to assist with funeral expenses.
The Cook family is being assisted by the Skradski Family Funeral Home in Escanaba.

    I am so sorry to hear about Bernice. I am living in Texas and can’t be there to say goodbye. That makes me very sad. Prayers for the family’s comfort. R.I.P. my friend.

    Your mom was a very nice woman,so sry to have seen this late, we think of Ralph Jr. Alot where are you now?
